About Laurie

Laurie Volges MS RD

Laurie has been a Registered Dietitian for 10 years and completed her Masters of Science Degree in Sports Nutrition in 2008. Laurie has always been motivated by fitness and nutrition.  Playing soccer most of her life, she quickly learned how nutrition plays a vital role in athletic performance and continued to grow in her passion when deciding to become a Registered Dietitian.  She began her career as a Clinical Dietitian, applying medical nutrition therapy to patients suffering from diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and various cancers.  In addition, Laurie has worked with pre and post-natal women as well as general weight loss clients.

While Laurie has always maintained a healthy lifestyle of eating a balanced diet and working out (typically HIIT workouts these days), she was prepping for her wedding in 2016 and became very involved in “macro counting.” This helped her perfect her exercise performance, and in return, tweak her body composition to a level in which she was never able to achieve prior.  This experience has really helped play a role in how she approaches her clients and helps them achieve their goals.  Macro counting allows almost everything to remain in your “diet”, without making you feel restricted and/or deprived.  Her passion and commitment helps drive real success with real results!

She has combined her passion for fitness, food and a little bit of fashion to bring you on a virtual tour of her everyday life. Enjoy 🙂
